Beachside Restaurant is within the manicured gardens of the Marriot Jamaica Bay Inn Hotel. The languid atmosphere invites hotel guests and locals to come after a stroll on Mother’s Beach. The restaurant is closed until 5 and the drinks are very pricey, but it’s a nice option for a little gathering.

The beloved restaurant Cheesecake Factory chain has a popular location near Mother’s Beach. The view of the marina are not too crowded with boats. During rush hour, wait times can exceed an hour! They do not accept reservations.

Salt Restaurant & Bar at the Marina del Rey Hotel is possibly the most popular hotel bar on the Marina. The sophisticated decor and atmosphere makes for a great date or get together by the water. Make a reservation in advance and prepare to pay for valet.

Killer Shrimp is an iconic restaurant known for its top-secret family recipe, which is unknown to even the staff members who recommend that you simply don’t order anything if you have allergies. But, the vibe can get a little weird weird, as the bar attracts the locals who live on boats in the area. Nonetheless, parking is abundant and free. The shrimp is pretty good.

Cast & Plow Restaurant at the Ritz Carlton in Marina del Rey has disappointing views of the marina are obstructed by a tall concrete wall. Even with a reservation, you may still need to wait a long time because the best seats are reserved for hotel guests. The Ritz-Carlton pool, garden and waterfall. There’s a small bites menu offered during the day and before midnight at the lounge. There is a parking lot across the street, but it is more convenient to valet your car.

Sapori is cozy restaurant that means “flavors” in Italian that overlooks the marina. I discovered this restaurant one afternoon when I was seated by a nearby fountain at Fisherman’s Village. A secret among locals, this restaurant is generally not busy. There is plenty of affordable parking.

Whiskey Red’s Restaurant is one of the most popular restaurants at Fisherman’s Village, known for its outdoor fireplaces and a koi pond. 

El Torito is a Mexican restaurant chain located within Fisherman’s Village. It’s hard to beat the $6 margaritas. A popular after work spot for local professionals.
