Meet The writer
I came to Los Angeles when I was four years old.
The drive from Minnesota took my family across the United States, through places I’d never heard of like Las Vegas and Denver. There was no internet… no cell phones. Just a paperback, spiral-bound Thomas Guide and a uHaul truck. My young mother had dreams of becoming an actress and recruited her husband, daughter, and cat as lieutenants on a journey that would permanently change our lives.
Growing up, I took the bus across Los Angeles, discovering a freedom most of my peers were not allowed to experience. Freedom didn’t need to be glamorous to be exciting. There was beauty on the streets of LA: the murals, the hidden restaurants, the mom and pop boutiques.
During the summers, I had the opportunity to discover new places. I always kept a journal.
Les choses qui me rendent contente

Ballet & Pilates
I began studying ballet in my mid-twenties, and now take dance classes two to three times per week. I also run, walk, or stretch daily.

studying languages
I fell in love with the French language when I was a child and have spent my life learning it. I like to study the language of each country that I visit.

Fish & Seafood
I stopped eating red meat almost a decade ago, when I realized that I was completely happy consuming a pescatarian diet.

Traveling
Traveling offers an opportunity to acquaint myself with a different history and culture. I need to plan an itinerary in advance, so we’re rarely disappointed.
